Viewing Images Full Size

ZeppelinArt scales images to fit your monitor resolution, if necessary. The scaling function reduces scrolling and improves viewing convenience. It works very similar to standard browser resizing.

For example, if your monitor resolution is 1280 x 1024 (w x h) an image 1620 x 1065 will be scaled approximately 20% smaller to fit in your screen. However, an image 886 x 694 will not be scaled. The actual amount of scaling is shown below each image (calculated as a % of original size).

In the event you want to view a large image in full size click the "View Full Size" link. This will open the image in a new, blank window. Be aware that your browser may resize the image in the new window. This is default browser behavior and must be turned off to view oversized images.

For Internet Explorer:
1. Go to Tools/Internet Options
2. Select the Advanced Tab
3. Uncheck the box "Enable automatic image resizing"
4. Select OK

For Firefox:
1. Type about:config in the address bar and press Enter.
2. The Firefox configuration window will appear. Look for the preference name browser.enable_automatic_image_resizing and double-click it to change its value to false.

For Chrome:
Google Chrome does not provide a built in method to turn off auto resizing. You can gain more image control by using an extension named Image Autosizer. Install and set options as preferred.

You will know that resizing has been sucessfully disabled when a large image no longer fits in a full screen window and scroll bars appear.
